wrestling with GOD

jacob had his hip broken... if i have my old testament history correct, which i may not have actually... but i do remember that he wrestled with god, telling the lord that he would not let go until god had blessed him or given him what he asked...

seems sort of arrogant... or persistent... or determined...

i can't remember... did jacob get what he wanted; and was what he wanted actually what he needed?

i will definitely check out the story in the old testament... i feel like i am wrestling with god right now, asking him for a particular blessing and holding onto that demand, prayer, whatever... and maybe god is getting ready to break me, too...
