this sunday morning, i attended bible study at beautiful savior lutheran church www.beautifulsavior.us on old trolley road in summerville, so. carolina...

we drew maps of the ancient biblical world on blank paper... and learned much about the lay of the lands...

then, my family joined me (except for our "child" at earlham college in indiana www.earlham.edu) to worship, and listen to pastor jon hein speak quite eloquently on idolatry and its real dangers both in elijah's time and in our times...

and now, at home, the sun has broken through heavy rain burdened clouds to shine up our day...

and i am going to eat some lunch... and maybe, have a traditional day of rest...
