political ramblings

well, this blog has transformed itself, having a definite mind of its own... into ramblings on various thoughts about the political scene. this morning i was surfing earlham college website at www.earlham.edu (the small liberal arts college where my youngest attends as a freshman this year) and read about an upcoming convocation during which a prominent news anchor of the past will present on his view of media and its influence on politics: what is a person to do? one of his major arguments will be against fox news with its flag waving and turgid (is that the word i want to use here?) patriotism... and i am thinking, what about msnbc and imus in the morning (which i do enjoy, by the way) and what of cnn's reporters "volunteering" for the kerry campaign? ah well... just my opinion, again...

and this afternoon, after futile attempts to publish this to my blog, i am wondering about blogger.com as well. who knows on which side of the political maelstrom this web entity comes down. still, i have read such a variety of posts and blogs, that it is hard to believe this blogger.com is anything but well-rounded...

turns out that blogger.com was having a publishing crisis as i am sure we all know...

rain is falling again... washing the earth of her own tears...
