just my opinion...
so much for fossils... actually i do collect shark teeth and other fossils throughout the low country of south carolina... along with many others, i find teeth mostly in holes dug out by construction companies, especially those building neighborhoods with ponds... but also in quarries... when i can manage to get into one...
