wes anderson's the life aquatic is the best movie that i have seen this year! i suppose that i love dry humor... and this film is full of it... and it contains one of the best set pieces ever produced in a movie... of the bellafonte, steve zissou's boat... and it has one of the best underwater sequences ever filmed, too... of the jaguar shark swimming luminescent in the darkness of an imaginary ocean depth...
a sad, touching and very funny movie...
not for kids, though, as there is full frontal nudity and some unpleasant language and shooting of guns and blowing up of dynamite...
see it...
