back home from indiana

the drive back was very long... with an especially ridiculous delay in charlotte, no. carolina...

i have lived in the carolinas for about 19 years! and i swear that the roads around the greater charlotte area have been under construction that entire time!

additionally, the road crews leave the most insane set-up on the weekends... they leave cones up blocking lanes that are perfectly driveable so that miles and miles and miles of backed-up traffic occurs...

it was so insane on sunday that i decided to break the rules... something i am not inclined to do... i followed another automobile down one of the lanes that was not blocked off but on the other side of cones lining a different lane... who knows... maybe the road crews never intended people NOT to drive in that lane... no one would have any idea except them...

anyway, i did arrive home safely but absolutely exhausted... crashing on the couch, watching news... discovering that i was news starved not having watched much in indiana...

learned that chris reeves passed away from heart failure after a wound became infected and the bacteria attacked his heart...

spinal cord injury research will go on... i am sure after hearing his neurologist speak this morning on tv news... cnn, i think...

i am still tired... have much to blog...
